What is Chinese medicine?

Chinese medicine has been around for thousands of years. In many parts of the world, it is well established as an addition, and sometimes alternative, to Western medicine. In Australia, Chinese medicine may not be as well-known or as well understood. That can make it hard for someone who is thinking about seeing a registered Chinese medicine practitioner to know what to expect and to feel confident about their treatment.

As a regulated profession, you can be safe in the knowledge that Chinese medicine practitioners have met specific requirements for training, qualifications, and ongoing professional development.
