Call for applications – Chinese Medicine Reference Group

The Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA) is calling for applications for appointment to the Chinese Medicine Reference Group.

Applications are sought from members of the community for appointment to the Chinese Medicine Reference Group (the Reference Group) of the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (the Board).

The purpose of the Reference Group is to engage stakeholders in order to foster communication and a common understanding of the work of the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia and the broader functions of the National Scheme.

The Reference Group:

• provides an opportunity for members to raise and report on any issues of interest and/or concern that may relate to the functions of the Board, and
• assists the Board to monitor the effectiveness of existing accreditation and registration requirements and related processes for the Chinese medicine profession over time.

The National Scheme has a commitment to increasing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ leadership and voices. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.

Membership of the Reference Group aims for diversity with consideration given to the broad Australian community and representation sought from young people; culturally and linguistically diverse communities; LGBTIQA+; people with disabilities and people from rural and remote communities.

Consideration will also be given to community advocates with lived experience of the health care consumer role and strong local community connections.
