First national Chinese medicine accreditation standards released

31 Dec 2013

The Chinese Medicine Board of Australia announces the release of its accreditation standards.

The first national accreditation standards for Chinese medicine have been published by the Accreditation Committee.

The Chinese medicine accreditation standards are the standards that programs of study, and the education providers who offer those programs, are assessed against to establish whether they will be accredited.

Students who graduate from an accredited and approved Chinese medicine program of study can apply for registration with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia.

AHPRA and the Accreditation Committee consulted widely for six weeks earlier this year to ensure stakeholders had a chance to provide feedback on draft versions of the accreditation standards and processes.

To access the accreditation standards visit the Accreditation pages on the national board website.
